Product Information
The ATC Cub is a compact, wall-mounted high speed hand dryer for washrooms in offices, shops, cafés, schools and small commercial premises. This version has a white painted finish and is part of a range that also comes in stainless steel and black.
An infrared sensor starts the dryer when hands are placed below it, and air leaves the nozzle at up to 65 metres per second. The heating element is rated at about 650 to 750W within a total load of 1150W. An automatic cut-out stops the dryer after 40 seconds if something is left under the sensor, and thermal protection guards the motor and heater.
- 1150W rated load on a 230V single-phase supply
- Air speed of 65 m/s
- Infrared hands-under sensor
- IPX1 rated
- 280 x 153 x 162mm, 3.2kg
The Cub uses a brushed motor, so the brushes will eventually need replacing on busy sites. Installation should be carried out by a competent electrician following the manufacturer's instructions and current wiring regulations. A manufacturer's warranty applies.

Frequently Asked Questions
It runs from a 230V single-phase supply with a rated load of 1150W. It is usually wired through a fused connection unit or another suitable means of isolation. The installation manual says to connect through a recessed back box so the dryer can sit flush to the wall. Check the manufacturer's instructions.
The installation instructions say not to install the dryer above sinks or counters, or anywhere it may be splashed or exposed to high humidity. With an IPX1 rating it gives only limited protection against dripping water. Keep it clear of basins, and follow the manufacturer's guidance on mounting height and side clearances.
The installation manual asks for at least 150mm of clear space between the dryer and any wall on either side. It also says not to fit it behind a door that could strike it. Mount it on a flat, smooth wall. Check the manufacturer's height chart for the correct mounting height for adults or children.
Wipe the casing and sensor window regularly so the sensor works reliably. The Cub uses a brushed motor, and the brushes are a wearing part that will need replacing after heavy use. They are not covered by the warranty. Always isolate the supply before opening the unit. Check the manufacturer's instructions.
