Neozed fuses are compact screw-in D type fuse links that protect circuits in Neozed switch fuses and fuse bases. We currently stock the 63 Amp Neozed D02 fuse, the largest standard rating in the D02 size, used in sub-main and equipment supply protection.

Choosing Neozed fuses

The Neozed system uses screw-in fuse links held in a base by a screw cap, offering a compact, touch-protected alternative to larger cartridge fuses. It is widely used in modular switch fuses and fused distribution equipment.

Neozed sizes

D01 - smaller fuse links for lower currents, typically up to 16A.
D02 - for ratings up to 63A, including the 63A fuse we stock.
D03 - for higher currents up to 100A in larger bases.

The fuse link must match both the base size and the holder or switch fuse it fits.

Selecting the rating

A 63A D02 fuse is the maximum rating for D02 holders, not a default choice. The correct rating depends on the circuit design: the fuse must carry the normal load current while protecting the outgoing cable. Many Neozed holders use adaptor sleeves or gauge pieces that limit the maximum rating that can be fitted, so check that the sleeve suits the fuse you are installing.

Safe replacement

Where the fuse sits in a switch fuse, switch it off before opening the carrier. Replace the link with one of the same size, rating and characteristic, and do not re-energise a circuit that keeps blowing fuses until the fault has been traced. Follow current wiring regulations and the switchgear manufacturer's instructions.
