Fans
Ventilation fans are electrically powered fans that move air into or out of a building to control moisture, odours and air quality. This section includes Airflow, Xpelair and Simply Silent extractor fans, the Manrose Lo-Watt Pivotal positive input ventilation unit, and installation accessories such as Knightsbridge grilles and gravity shutters, ATC PVC ducting and Airflow iCON timer modules.
Whether you are fitting a single toilet fan or ventilating a whole house, trade pricing is available on account, and orders in by 5pm Monday to Friday reach NI and ROI addresses the next working day.
Choosing fans and ventilation for homes and workplaces
Good ventilation removes the moisture produced by cooking, bathing and drying clothes before it causes damage. The right approach combines extraction where moisture is created with enough background airflow to keep the whole building fresh.
Browse by product type
- Extractor fans – wall, ceiling, SELV and in-line fans for bathrooms, toilets and utility rooms.
- Kitchen extractor fans – higher-airflow fans for cooking steam and odours.
- Positive input ventilation – loft-mounted units that supply filtered air to the whole house.
- Fan accessories – grilles, fly screens, gravity shutters, PVC ducting and timer modules.
Extraction or supply?
Extractor fans pull air out of individual rooms and should be fitted wherever moisture is produced. Positive input ventilation does the opposite, gently pushing fresh air in to dilute moist air across the whole home. Many properties benefit from both: room extraction for kitchens and bathrooms, and PIV to tackle general condensation.
Specification tips
Check the extract rate required for each room under the building regulations that apply in your jurisdiction, then allow for losses from ducting and grilles. Consider noise levels in bedrooms and en-suites, controls such as timers and humidity sensors, and the bathroom zone where each fan will sit. Always follow current wiring regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
