Over a dining table or kitchen island, consider a row of matching pendants rather than a single large fitting.

- Lamp cap and size – these Kosnic pendants take E27 lamps; check any maximum wattage or lamp size given by the manufacturer.
- Drop height – allow enough headroom in walkways and set pendants over tables low enough to light the surface without blocking views.
- Weight and fixing – heavier glass or metal shades may need fixing to a joist or a suitable support rather than relying on the ceiling rose alone.
- Dimming – if you plan to dim, use dimmable LED lamps and an LED-compatible dimmer.
