Product Information
The ATC Cub is a compact, high speed, automatic hand dryer for washrooms where space is limited, such as cafés, offices, small shops and clinics. Despite its small footprint, it delivers air at around 65 m/s for quick drying. This version has a matt black painted steel cover, which suits modern and darker washroom schemes.
An infrared sensor starts the dryer when hands are placed underneath, and it stops automatically if left running. The heating element can be switched off to save energy where warm air is not needed. Thermal cut-outs protect the motor and heater. The cover is secured with vandal-resistant screws, which helps in busy public washrooms.
- Compact design at 280 x 153 x 162mm
- Air speed of approximately 65 m/s
- Sensor operation with automatic shut-off
- Switchable heater
- Matt black painted steel cover with vandal-resistant fixings
Fit at a height that suits the users, keeping the clearances given in the manufacturer's instructions and avoiding positions directly above sinks or counters. Installation should be carried out by a competent electrician and must comply with current wiring regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Cub is rated IPX1, which protects against vertically dripping water only. ATC advises against fitting it directly above sinks or counters or in areas of high humidity. Position it away from splashing, and check the manufacturer's instructions and current wiring regulations for the location you have in mind.
The Cub runs on a standard 220-240V single phase supply. It is usually connected through a fused spur so it can be isolated for maintenance. Confirm the fuse rating against the power shown on the rating plate and the manufacturer's instructions. Installation should be carried out by a competent electrician.
Yes. The heating element can be switched off so the dryer runs on unheated air only. This lowers running costs, and the high air speed still dries hands. Many sites leave the heater on in winter and switch it off in warmer months.
Mounting height depends on the users, for example adults, children or wheelchair users. ATC provides a recommended height chart in its installation guide and advises keeping at least 150mm clear on either side. Check the manufacturer's instructions, and consider accessibility requirements for the building.
