Product Information
The GARO GCUT8 is an 8-module, single-row IP65 enclosure for building a weatherproof distribution board where water or dust is a concern. Typical uses include garages, outbuildings, farm buildings, plant rooms, external supplies and temporary site installations. It is supplied empty, so you can fit the MCBs, RCDs, RCBOs or isolators the job needs.
The enclosure is moulded from halogen-free ABS and polycarbonate and rated IK08 for impact. It has a transparent, UV-protected hinged door that opens to 180°, so you can see device status without opening the board. The four screws that join the base to the frame can be sealed.

Faulty Products
- Products that are faulty must be returned within the manufacturer’s warranty period.

Most IP rating appliances have a two-digit value that indicates their resistance level. Garo’s distribution board has an IP rating of 65. Each digit in the IP rating represents a resistance quality. The 6 value indicates that the distribution board has a high resistance to dust and debris. The 5 value indicates that the fuse board has a moderate to a high level of resistance to moisture, and it can prevent damage from low jets of water from any direction.
The enclosure is rated IP65, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 for impact resistance. The door is UV protected. GARO lists earth and neutral bars for this range in a double-height section rated up to 125A. Sources differ on whether they come fitted as standard or are supplied as accessories, so check the contents with us before ordering if you need them. Make sure the bars you use have enough terminals for the number of circuits you plan to wire.
Use the moulded cable entry points and fit suitably rated glands or conduit adaptors for each cable, and seal any unused openings. Keep the door closed and the screws fully tightened.
