Product Information
The Tass PB002B is a black double pedestal box for raising wiring accessories above floor level. It is used with floor boxes, raised access floors and open-plan offices where sockets or data outlets are needed in the middle of a room. It takes standard two-gang accessory plates, so a twin socket or a pair of single-gang accessories can be fitted.
The box is made from sheet steel with fully welded construction, giving a solid, rigid housing that stands up to everyday knocks and foot traffic around desks. It has a textured, leatherette-effect black powder coat (RAL 9004). Knockouts are on one side only, and an earth terminal is provided for bonding the steel body.

Faulty Products

It accepts standard two-gang accessory plates, so you can fit a twin switched socket, or a two-gang plate with single sockets or data modules. The box is 82mm high overall, so check the depth of your chosen accessories, including the cable and terminals behind them, before ordering. Check the manufacturer's instructions for the recommended accessory depth.
The steel body has an earth terminal. Connect the circuit protective conductor to the box earth terminal as well as to the accessory, in line with current wiring regulations. This keeps the exposed metal of the box bonded to earth. Make sure all terminations are tight and that the cable is protected where it passes through the knockout.
Knockouts are on one side only. This keeps the other faces clean and lets you point the cable entry towards the floor box or cable route. Fit a grommet or suitable gland where the cable passes through the steel so the sheath is not damaged. Plan the box orientation before fixing so the entry lines up with the supply.
