Product Information
Raytech Magic Gel in the 2 litre pack is a two-part, cold-curing insulating gel for sealing and protecting low-voltage cable connections in joint shells, junction boxes and enclosures. The larger pack suits contractors filling several boxes or larger joints on one job, such as outdoor lighting runs, pump supplies and buried connections.
The two components are mixed in equal parts and cross-link in about 10 minutes at room temperature. Before setting, the low-viscosity mix flows around conductors and into small spaces. Once cured, the soft gel can be cut away to reach the connection, so terminations can be inspected or changed later.

Faulty Products
- Products that are faulty must be returned within the manufacturer’s warranty period.

No. Mix only the amount you need in equal parts from each bottle, and reseal the bottles. Raytech state the gel has no shelf life, so the rest of the pack can be kept for later jobs. Once mixed, it cross-links within minutes, so pour it straight away. Check the manufacturer's instructions.
It is designed for filling joint shells, junction boxes and other enclosures around low-voltage connections. The IP68 protection depends on the gel fully filling a suitable casing, so check that the enclosure is designed for gel filling and that its cable entries will hold the gel while it sets.
Yes, it is the same Raytech Magic Gel. It is supplied as two 1 litre bottles instead of a smaller pack, which makes it more economical when filling large enclosures or many joints. Mixing, curing and performance are the same. Choose the size based on the total volume you need to fill.
Yes. The cured gel stays soft and can be cut or pulled away from the conductors to reach the connection, even after a long time in service. After making the alteration, you can top up or refill the enclosure with freshly mixed gel. Check the manufacturer's instructions for re-entry.
