Product Information
The GARO GCUT224 is an empty IP65 enclosure that takes 24 modules of DIN rail-mounted devices across two rows of 12. It is designed for building small distribution boards and control panels where dust and water protection matter, such as plant rooms, workshops, farm buildings, outbuildings and external walls.
The enclosure is made from halogen-free ABS and polycarbonate and is rated IK08 for impact resistance. A transparent, UV-protected hinged door opens through 180° so devices can be read without opening the board. The screws joining the base and frame can be sealed. The DIN rails can be fitted at two heights to suit different devices. Moulded cable entries cover M20 to M40 glands.

Faulty Products
- Products that are faulty must be returned within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
- The complete product must be returned, unless previously agreed by Meteor Electrical in writing; incomplete items of parts may not be returned.
- Products within the manufacturers specific warranty period will be repaired, replaced, or a refund given at the discretion of the Manufacture.
Frequently Asked Questions
GARO lists the neutral and earth bar for the GCUT range as a separate accessory, rated up to 125A. Order it alongside the enclosure if you need it. A key lock is also available separately. The enclosure is supplied empty, so MCBs, RCDs, isolators and other DIN rail devices need to be ordered to suit your circuit design.
It is rated IP65, which means it is dust tight and protected against water jets, and it has a UV-protected door. That makes it suitable for many external and damp locations. To keep the IP rating, use suitably rated glands, fill unused entries and keep the door seal clean. GARO gives a normal operating range of -25°C to +40°C.
Current wiring regulations set requirements for the enclosure material of consumer units and similar switchgear in domestic premises, and this is a plastic enclosure. It is more commonly used for outbuildings, commercial and industrial sub-distribution, and control panels. Check with the installation designer and current wiring regulations before using it as a domestic consumer unit.
It accepts standard 35mm DIN rail modular devices, up to 24 modules in total across two rows of 12. Multi-pole devices take more than one module each, so count module widths, not devices. The rails can be set at two heights to suit device depth. Confirm the total load, heat dissipation and device ratings as part of the board design.
