ISM has upgraded it Door-Entry System in London

In South London, Durrington and Amesbury, tower blocks have been fitted with high rise installation, helping ISM to continue dominating the local authority and housing association door entry market. ISM have worked in conjunction with SSCI Alphatrack to design, supply and commission the project for Lambeth Living; which is one of London’s largest housing associations.

The existing door entry system, which operated across both buildings, comprising a total of 160 flats, has now been replaced with ISM’s Ultimate 3000 audio and video telephone system. After many years of use, due to no spare parts being available, the old system has been deemed ‘non serviceable’. If ongoing operational and maintenance costs were to be kept at an acceptable level, renewal was the only option for the housing association.

The Ultimate 3000 system was designed and manufactured by the UK firm ISM. It is an innovative product which was specifically developed to meet the precise requirements of the local authorities, housing associations and their tenants. Both towers are configured as a simple single exchange. However, using ISM’s patented control room management software, ‘Genesys’ will allow them to be networked. Local authorities will benefit from this new installation as it will enable them to reduce manpower on site, while enhancing resident security with the ability to integrate CCTV, digital recordings, intruder alarms and fire alarms.

ISM was chosen to supply the equipment, also reducing installation costs significantly by making bespoke chassis’ which could be easily fitted into the decoder boxes on each landing. Video door entry phones available with a concierge call button have been replaced in all flats using CAT5e cable. Ultimate 3000 digital vandal resistant panels have been installed at the entrance to both buildings, which are designed to suit the harsh environments.
