LED Lights
LED lights, in lamp form, are energy-efficient replacement bulbs that fit standard lampholders and use far less power than incandescent, halogen or fluorescent lamps for the same light. Our range includes Kosnic LED GLS lamps in B22 and E27, Kosnic GU10s including a 5.5W dimmable 660-lumen lamp, Kosnic 2-pin and 4-pin LED DD lamps, filament candles, golf balls, G4 capsules and S15 tubes.
AOne Bluetooth smart lamps add colour and app control. Order before 5pm on weekdays for next working day delivery across NI and ROI, with trade pricing for account holders.
How to choose the right LED lamp
LED lamps make it easy to cut energy use without changing fittings, but getting the right match for the holder, light level and controls is what avoids flicker and disappointing results.
Match the cap and shape
- B22 and E27 GLS – standard bayonet and screw lamps for pendants, table lamps and ceiling lights.
- B15 and E14 candles and golf balls – for chandeliers, wall lights and small shades.
- GU10 – mains-voltage spotlights for downlights and spotlight bars.
- G4 capsules – small low-voltage lamps for cooker hoods, cabinet lights and decorative fittings.
- LED DD – 2-pin and 4-pin lamps for bulkheads and DD fittings.
- S15 tubes – for picture lights, mirror lights and cabinets.
Choose the light
Compare lumens to judge brightness and choose a colour temperature to suit the room: 2700K warm white for living areas and bedrooms, 4000K cool white for kitchens, utility rooms and workspaces. Beam angle matters for GU10s, with wider beams giving general light and narrower ones accent lighting. Filament lamps suit clear shades where the lamp is on show, while frosted lamps reduce glare.
Dimming and smart control
Use lamps marked dimmable on dimmer circuits, with a dimmer rated for LED loads; non-dimmable lamps may flicker or fail on a dimmer. Smart lamps should go on a permanently powered circuit and be controlled from the app or remote. For full fittings rather than lamps, see our ceiling downlights, and for app-controlled lighting systems browse smart lighting. If you are replacing old plug-in fluorescent lamps, read our compact fluorescent guidance first.
