Heating
Electric heating covers any heater that converts electricity into warmth, from wall-mounted panel heaters and radiators to underfloor mats, water heaters and outdoor heaters. This section includes ATC Almeria Eco panel heaters, Heat My Home underfloor heating cables and mats, the Illumina 400W frost watcher and the Secure Intelligent Thermostatic Radiator Valve.
With around 80 products for homes, offices and commercial sites, there is a solution for most rooms. Trade accounts unlock trade prices, and stock ordered before 5pm on a weekday reaches NI and ROI the next working day.
Finding the right electric heating for each space
No single heater suits every room. A bathroom, a shop doorway and a garden terrace each need a different type of heat, so this category is split into focused ranges to help you narrow the choice quickly.
Our heating ranges at a glance
- Panel heaters – slim ATC Almeria Eco models, including Wi-Fi versions, for living spaces and offices.
- Lifestyle electric radiators – ATC iLifestyle smart radiators and Sun Ray thermal radiators.
- Underfloor heating – Heat My Home mats and loose cables for tiled floors.
- Outdoor heaters – quartz and infrared ATC heaters for patios and terraces.
- Specialist heat – overdoor, bathroom, towel rail, tubular, convector, smart and under-sink water heaters.
Matching heater to room
Rooms used every day are best served by heaters with accurate electronic thermostats and timers, such as panel heaters or radiators. Underfloor heating suits kitchens and bathrooms where wall space is limited. Garages, lofts and outbuildings often need only frost protection from a tubular heater or frost watcher. Commercial entrances benefit from overdoor heaters, while beer gardens and smoking shelters call for radiant outdoor heaters.
Sizing and installation
Start with a heat loss estimate based on room size, insulation and glazing, then choose an output with a little headroom. Fixed heaters should be connected by a competent electrician, typically via a fused connection unit or dedicated circuit depending on the load, and wet-room or outdoor installations need extra attention to IP ratings and RCD protection. Check current wiring regulations and the manufacturer's instructions for each product.
