Switchfuses are DIN rail devices that combine an isolating switch with a fuse holder, letting you disconnect a circuit and protect it with a fuse in one unit. We currently stock 63 Amp Neozed switch fuses from STV in single pole and triple pole versions, suited to sub-mains, tariff supplies and three phase equipment feeds.

How to choose a Neozed switch fuse

A Neozed switch fuse disconnector accepts D02 type fuse links and adds a switching handle, so the fuse can be isolated and changed without exposing live parts. They are a compact alternative to a separate isolator and fuse carrier.

Single pole or triple pole?

Single pole - switches and fuses one line conductor, typically on single-phase sub-circuits or as a tariff fuse.
Triple pole - switches and fuses all three lines together for three phase motors, heaters and sub-boards, so a fault on one phase does not leave the load running on two.

Specifications to check

Maximum fuse link rating - both units in our range accept fuse links up to 63A.
Fuse link size and characteristic - choose a Neozed fuse rated to protect the outgoing cable.
Mounting - 35mm top hat DIN rail inside a suitable enclosure.
Supply direction - many switch fuses accept the feed from top or bottom; confirm against the product data.

Installation and safety

Mount the switch fuse inside an enclosure with adequate IP rating for its location and fit a cover so terminals cannot be touched. Make sure the fuse link rating coordinates with upstream and downstream devices, and confirm the arrangement against current wiring regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
