Record-breaking LED Light Bulb from Lumileds
Lumileds, a Californian phosphor company are now hoping to claim a new record for energy saving efficiency for their LED Light bulb 203W for a remote-phosphor lamp. The 203W bulb delivers 6,000K and 70CRI with a conversion efficiency of 267 lm using a 26mm diameter dome-shaped remote phosphor. Intematix believe that this kind of module currently represents the highest level efficiency among LED-based light available commercially for production within the market today.
With T and TX, lumileds has not yet specified an exact maximum reverse voltage stating that the Luxeon T and TX are not designed to be put in reverse. Product director Kathleen Hartnett said “The emitters enables the customers to be able to achieve a true 50W equivalent MR16 lamp with 2,700K, which LEDs found impossible to achieve”
The royal blue Lexeon T produces typically over 1W of light with an typical efficiency radiant of over 50% at around 85°C junction temperature.
