Hand Dryers are Hitting the Home Market
The famous hand dryers are best known for their use in restaurants, airports and shopping centres but they are now making their way into peoples’ homes. You may think why would you want a massive bulky hand dryer in your home but recently they aren’t bulky or noisy instead they are slimmer and eardrum friendly, however this luxury comes at a cost.
Senior Design Engineer, Rob Green who works for Dyson has mentioned that, “People have become more intrigued in installing them in their households.”
It was said that these machines themselves were a hunting grounds for the spread of circulating bathroom bacteria, which left paper towels superior. However, the latest finding from a Mayo Clinic Study shows that there was no massive significance between the use of Paper towels or hand dryers. It actually boils down to how well the user washed their hands in the first place, properly rinsing their hands well with soap and water.
A big problem with hand washing is that some people wash their hands in freezing cold water which has no benefit at all as it won’t kill the germs. The best way to get good hot water is by using your immersion heater for short periods to get a burst of hot water, enough to wash your hands properly to kill the germs.
