Heat Alarms from £10: Stop False Alarms in the Kitchen

Things should go bump in the night, not beep. Constantly taking the battery out of a standard smoke alarm every time someone burns toast is frustrating and creates a severe domestic hazard. Heat alarms are incredibly useful in environments like kitchens or bathrooms, where heavy steam and cooking fumes might trigger false alarms in a standard smoke detector. Instead of looking for smoke particles, they only react to significant, dangerous spikes in ambient temperature.

This week’s Trick or Trade deals include premium heat detectors starting at just £10:

Firehawk FH450RB Rechargeable Heat Detector

The Firehawk FH450RB is a premium mains-powered heat alarm that incorporates a sealed rechargeable lithium battery backup, ensuring uninterrupted protection even during severe power cuts. It relies on advanced thermistor technology to accurately detect rapid temperature spikes, making it a highly reliable, false-alarm-free solution for steamy kitchens and dusty garages.

Hispec HSSA/HE/FF10 Mains Heat Alarm

Engineered for fast and flawless fitting, the Hispec HSSA/HE/FF10 mains heat alarm includes a dependable 10-year rechargeable lithium backup cell. It complies fully with stringent UK building regulations and seamlessly links with other Hispec units to establish a robust, property-wide safety network.

Firehawk FHH10-RF Radio Interlinked Heat Alarm.

Achieve ultimate domestic safety without the messy hassle of complex wiring by installing the Firehawk FHH10-RF advanced radio-interlinked heat alarm. Powered by a sealed 10-year lithium battery, it wirelessly communicates with up to 15 compatible Firehawk devices to instantly alert your entire household the moment dangerous thermal levels are breached.

Kidde Firex KF30R Mains Heat Alarm

The Kidde Firex KF30R operates as a heavy-duty mains heat alarm equipped with a tamper-proof, self-charging lithium backup battery that lasts the lifespan of the unit. Because it is capable of hardwire-linking with up to 23 compatible Kidde devices, it delivers exceptional, large-scale fire detection coverage for expansive residential or light commercial properties.
