A new Bill which requires the installation of CCTV Cameras filed
A new bill filed by the House of Representatives has been introduced which will make it mandatory that CCTV systems are installed in all businesses and government establishments all over the country.
The house bill has been introduced in an attempt to ‘help solve crimes’, being filed by Rufus Rodriguez and Maximo Rodriques. The Cagayan de Oro City quoted in a statement that ‘With the installation of CCTV cameras it will help solve crimes as well as prevent crimes, with criminals having to think twice before considering to carry out any unlawful activities helping to lower the high crime rate.
The new bill, HB 2449 will be mandatory for all businesses that employ 20 employees or more to install high quality CCTV cameras covering the entrances and exits of their property/premises.
With Rodriquez saying that CCTV cameras prove to be an effective tool when trying to solve a crime and that it is about time that CCTV installations become a mandatory requirement for all establishments across the country.
