A lamp that you just want to hug

Simon Frambach, a design student from Germany has hit big in the world of Lighting with his new product innovation called the ‘Soft Light’. Although it isn’t ready for purchase yet, it is winning awards at design shows across Europe for its appealing design.

The Soft Light is basically a thick, flexible lampshade which consists of a squishy polyurethane foam allowing it to have multiple uses from being shoved in furniture gaps and even as a pillow, as the energy saving light bulb, inside it is protected inside a cage, illuminates the foam from inside.

Frambach, was amazed at how the whole concept of a product which we use in our everyday lives, could be changed with one tiny aspect and how it could appeal to so many people.
