Elderly have been advised to Heat only their Living room
Elderly people have been strongly recommended to heat only their living room during the day and turn off all other radiators in the house to help save on energy bills. The government states that temperature in the living room should be at 21°C in living room and kept at 17/18°C in the rest of house and just heat their bedroom before they go to bed at night. This advice is in an attempt to cut the 24,000 excess winter deaths that happen nationally every year.
