Product Information
The Photodiode in the C4408D diode base makes it excellent for use in systems needing active 'head out' end of line monitoring (a requirement of UK installation standard BS 5839-1). The C4408 non-diode base can be used in systems that do not have this criterion. Compatible with the whole ActiV conventional smoke and heat detector line from C-TEC. In conjunction with our ActiV detectors, third-party certified to the relevant elements of EN54.

Meteor Electrical Limited will accept returns up until 14 days after dispatch date on the conditions
- The Goods are in all original packaging
- The materials contain all original documentation (instructions, manuals, warranties or any other literature)
- Product is deemed by our returns department to be in a re-sellable condition
All refunds are made to the same payment method used originally to place the order (e.g. VISA Card) - unless specifically requested otherwise.
Faulty Products
- Products that are faulty must be returned within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
- The complete product must be returned, unless previously agreed by Meteor Electrical in writing; incomplete items of parts may not be returned.

Frequently Asked Questions
C-Tec ActiV Diode Base C-TEC is designed to be ceiling mounted. Because the LED indication strips on all ActiV detectors have a true 360° viewing angle, they can be ceiling installed in any orientation.
The base also includes remote LED connections for the optional installation of a remote indication, as well as a diode that alerts your fire alarm system when a detector is removed.
