Entergy Texas, Inc. is sending reminders to customers, that an inexpensive way to help keep their homes or businesses safe after the sunset is by using security lighting. With the evening getting darker and darker, it is resulting in nightfall occurring before many of us even get home. Vice president, Vernon Pierce for Entergy Texas said, “Security lighting is for many customers an important concern, we all know that these criminal offences carried out by thieves and vandals only happen where they can’t be seen. Providing security lighting brings our expertise to help comfort our customers.”

Entergy Texas, have said their aim is to help support the customer in what ever way they can. Customers will discuss their lighting requirements with a lighting expert within 2 days of first contact. To make the customer feel more at ease, once the light is installed, there is no more maintenance fees, should the pole and light get destroyed in a bad weather storm, they will be fully replaced free of charge to the customer.

Security lights begin with a 100W high pressure sodium light, suitable for use in a home. These high pressure sodium floodlights come in sizes 100W, 400W and 1000W. Metal Halide Floodlights are available in 1000W sizes to provide high resolution colour. Depending on what size the light is, an installation fee of either $25 or $50 will be charged.

Customers pay a monthly cost for the use of the lighting which is added to their existing bills. Prices begin at only $10 per month however; this will change depending on the wattage of the light.
