Frequently Asked Questions
The central heating and water control systems that control the timing and power of heating units are known as a heating time clock.
The purpose of the timeguard 7 day timer is to save your energy expenses by heating your home more effectively. Using the timeguard 7 day timer, the end-user will be able to regulate their heating and hot water to come on and off with a programmer. The heating time clock allows you to tailor your central heating to the demands of your home or business. The key benefit of the timeguard 7 day timer in the program means the end-user won’t have to turn the heating on and off when they are not at home or asleep in bed.
Timeguard’s 7 day timer can be installed in a wide range of applications including commercial and domestic environments. The timeguard time clock is extremely useful in business environments as the heating can be controlled during working hours and turned off when at the end of the working day.
The Timeguard 7 day timer is also common in households. Many houses install a heating timeclock so that their heating is fully programmed to suit their everyday life. For example, using the Timeguard 7 day timer, you can have your heating turned on early in the morning so you can wake up to a warm and toasty house.
The holiday mode of the Timeguard 7 day timer allows the end-user to save energy and money. The time will lower the temperature or turn the heating off using the period you are away from home (on a holiday) and then return to the regular functioning when the user returns.
Timeguard time clock’s holiday mode is designed to make the overall heating experience as smooth as possible without the need to mess with the programming of the heating time clock.
Before carrying out the installation of the heating time clock, make sure you are certified. An experienced and knowledgeable electrician must install the Timeguard time clock to ensure it is installed safely and that there are no hazards.
The first step is to remove the device from the wall plate, ensuring the main supply is turned off. Start by isolating the 230W AC power supply.
The 1.5mm cable should be used for both incoming and outgoing data.
You may configure 'On' and 'Off' time periods with the Timeguard 7 day timer. Some versions turn on and off the central heating and domestic hot water at the same time, while others let the domestic hot water and heating turn on and off separately.
You may customize the 'On' and 'Off' time periods to fit your needs. On some programmers, you must also set whether you want the heating and hot water
You might be able to use 'Override,' 'Advance,' or 'Boost' to temporarily change the heating time clock. The manufacturer's instructions go through this in detail.
If the heating has been turned off by the room thermostat, the heating will not operate. If you have a hot-water cylinder, the water heating will stop working after the cylinder thermostat senses that the hot water has reached the proper temperature.
