Plans have been brought forward to introduce Hounslow with LED Floodlights

On the 11th of October of this year, at the ‘Get West London’ event, there was a discussion that new LED floodlights created by the lighting specialist LED Floodlights Co. would be installed in sixty areas in Hounslow in an attempt to reduce the amount of anti-social behavior and crime in the area. There are a total of 1706 streetlights that are due to be installed over these sixty areas. As the installations are progressing approximately 66% that have been installed tare in areas which have currently got the highest rate of crime and burglaries.

The original date was for 2014, but has been brought forward in an attempt to help reduce fears of the public especially with the long dark nights drawing in. The lights are an attempt to combat crime and help improve the quality of CCTV camera’s image with 327 being installed before the end of this year and a further 319 installed early 2014.

The new LED streetlights have been proven in recent studies carried out in the UK to help better improve facial recognition with better crime detection of criminals. This is putting the public at ease as they can now understand why the lights need to be installed and that the chances of catching potential criminals is easier with better lighting in place.

Experts at LED Floodlights said they are dedicated in providing a full range of extensive energy efficient LED floodlights, PIR LED Floodlights as well as portable floodlights. The company was happy to hear that the floodlights where to be installed earlier than the expected date to ensure the safety of citizens saying “with LED lights being known for there high light quality, it helps ease the citizens that the area which they are in is safer coming into these dark evenings.”
