Rubber Duck Moves Electric Cables

On Tuesday, there was several power lines removed by construction workers so that visitors could get a better view of a giant inflatable rubber duck in Taiyuan.

Several power lines had to be removed so that visitors could get a better view of the giant duck. Five electric cables were removed as they were obstructing the view of the duck which is 18m tall and wide and just over 25m long.

The giant duck was designed by a Holland artist called Florentijn Hofman and he aimed to entertain the world by creating the duck and a tour named "Spreading joy around the world."

The giant rubber duck was constructed with more than 200 pieces of PVC and it’s displayed in 14 cities at present. This is the second duck to go on display in Taiwan and it’s estimated to attract 930,000 visitors on Tuesday.

Since 2007, the Rubber duck has harbored many cities all over the globe, including Hong Kong, Pittsburgh, and Sydney which each one being created to Hofman’s design with a massive crew needed to inflate and deflate it.
