Google and Yahoo have their Data hubs tapped by NSA

It is suggested that the NSA have been collecting information sent through data cables between Google and Yahoo hubs ‘at will’.

The two biggest world’s tech companies have reacted angrily on Wednesday to a report that the NSA has been secretly incepting the main communication links which carry around the world their users’ data.

The overall document obtained suggests that the National Security Agency, who are also in partnership with GCHQ, British counterpart are copying large amounts of data, which flows within their data  cables connected to the worldwide data centres of the Silicon Valley Giants. Both internet giants are absolutely furious about the incident which is damaging their reputation.

The revelation obtained from Edward Snowden have left the government and tech companies relations strained with Mark Zucherberg, the Facebook Co-Founder saying at a tech conference that the government has done a terrible job and that in his opinion he thinks the government have ‘blew it’. Google will be first to have its turn before a panel to further discuss questions on 13th November, and will be sending a representative to the Senate hearing.
