Police have confirmed that a fire was deliberately started in a house in Brecon Way, in Winsford between the hours of 1am and 2am on Monday 28^th October. Cheshire Fire and Rescue put out the fire which was caused by someone setting alight the storage cupboard which contained electricity meters.

The fire has been concluded as a case of deliberate arson by fire investigators, which caused the occupants to be evacuated from their home as a result of the damage caused by the fire, with police opening a full investigation to the incident.
