9 Electrical Plants blown up by attackers in Mexico

In the state of Michoacan, one of the largest states in Mexico, just west from the capital, there was an attack by assailants which blew up 9 electrical plants. Luckily there was no deaths or injuries caused, however authorities have said it just shows as a reminder of the strength that the drug lords and other criminals have.

After Midnight, an estimated 1 million were plunged into darkness for 15 hours with no lighting, when electrical substations were simultaneously disabled. There was then 4 gasoline stations set alight, including 2 in a popular tourist destination.

The state of Michoacan, has been controlled by either its predecessor La Familia or the Knights Templar which are the leading gangs that export methamphetamine to the America, which has caused many citizens to take self-defense into their own hands carrying weapons for their own protection.

The Federal authorities said they will reinforce security by sending Police  and Military troops to the region. Just a few days after Fausto Vallejo, returned from sickness to work the attacks started. Organised Criminals are said to be winning the fight against the State and Federal authorities and are said to be suspected of unleashing the July antics which resulted in 2 federal officers dying and 20 criminals.
