This June, Tyrone Club Omagh Wheelers will host the first Irish National Cycling Championships to be held in the County.

There will be 3 days of racing. On the Thursday evening the Time Trial event will take place. This will be lumpy affair, with course cutting through local towns such as Carrickmore before finishing on the outskirts of Omagh again. Last year’s road race champion Ryan Mullen is hotly tipped for glory after his performance in the U23 World Championships.

On the Saturday & Sunday the road races will take place, the masters and ladies races will be on the Saturday with the Elite race taking place on the Sunday.  The road races will bisect the county town each lap providing fantastic excitement for spectators and cycling fans. Favourites for the Elite race will be ex champions Matt Brammier & Ryan Mullen.

Not only will the expected 10,000 spectators surrounding the streets of Omagh see this great event but also the millions watching from their homes as Omagh Wheelers have agreed a deal with British Eurosport to televise the event.
