If you are on a low income you will be offered help from Energy Suppliers, you could receive a rebate of £135 for your winter 2013-14 electricity bill.

Cold Weather Payment

If the area in which you live, drops to a temperature of an average of 0°C or less for a total of 7 days between 1^st Nov and 31^st Mar 2014, and you receive a pension credit or any other benefits you may be entitled to get a £25 payment.

Winter Fuel Payment

If you were born before 6^th January, 1952 you may be eligible to get the Winter Fuel Payment, you could receive £100-£300 to help with your winter bills.

ECO (Energy Companies Obligation)

This scheme was created in order help people with the cost of some or all of their loft/cavity wall insulation, and boiler replacements. However to be eligible for this scheme you must live in a low-income home or be in a property that is hard to heat.
