Product Information

Garo 63 amp, double pole RCD (2 modular). The 63 amp RCD  is renowned for its outstanding quality and excellent value for money.

The 63 AMP RCD (residual current device) monitor neutral and earth for an imbalance which would normally indicate a leakage to earth. Once this exceeds a pre-determined amount the 63a RCD will trip. It is important to note that they are designed to operate within a percentage amount of the RCDs maximum sensitivity and not run right up to the maximum sensitivity shown on the 63 Amp RCD. The 63 amp RCD Meets all required standards - EN 618, IEC 618

What is the current rating of Garo's Garo 2 Pole RCD?

Garo's 2 Pole RCD has a current rating of 63 amps.

What type of RCD is Garo 63 Amp 30mA 2 Pole RCD?

Garo's 63 Amp 2 Pole RCD is a type A RCD.

What is the rated making and breaking capability of Garo's 63 Amp 30mA 2 Pole RCD?

Can you overload an 63 amp RCD trip?

When the current exceeds its rating, all RCDs should trip. A RCD that trips regularly, especially on modest overloads, is a symptom of an underrated RCD. For example, exceeding over the 63 amps will cause the RCD to trip. It is important to understand the current ratings of the RCDs.

Will the 63 amp RCD work without earth?

Without a neutral connection, an 63 amp RCD will still work, but the test button will not. The trip test circuit is linked between phases in some RCDs, whereas it is connected between phase and neutral in others.

What's an RCD?

An RCD is a Residual Current Device. RCDs are also referred to as ground fault circuit interrupters. These are electrical safety devices that quickly break electrical circuits and direct the current away from you to protect you from electrical shocks.
